WELCOME
to the home page of UCGALA, the LGBT
alumni association of the University of California,
Berkeley. UCGALA's mission is to support and promote the
interests of the University of California and its alumni,
with an emphasis on issues and interests specific to the
lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered community.
We primarily focus on the following:
scholarships
for lesbian, gay, bi, and transgendered students at Cal.
a mentorship program for lesbian, gay, bi, transgendered,
and questioning undergraduates at the university and beyond.
social events, such as theater, hikes, parties, educational events,
and an online
calendar of upcoming events.
the Quarterly Bulletin of UCGALA (chair's report, details
about events, scholarships and mentoring, plans, minutes of
board meetings, and financial reports).
We are proud to represent the contributions and potential
of Cal's past, present, and future gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered alumni.

What's new:
2007-2008 UCGALA Scholarship winners:
Jeff Manassero, MiJung (Michelle) Kim, Angel Rodriguez, and Adam Golub
1st Annual Big Game Tailgate (Dec. 1, noon) Please join UCgala and Stanford Pride for a pre-Big Game tailgate party at Stanford Stadium. Tailgate tickets are $15 for Young Alums (graduation 2005 or later), $20 regular. A limited number of Big Game tickets ($65) will be available for purchase through UCgala.
Queer Science and Engineering ReceptionQueerGrads and the College of Chemistry present the annual LGBTQ Science and Engineering Reception: their big annual reception for LGBTQ scientists complete with plenty of food, great company, and klassy alcoholic beverages.
Who: Science oriented LGBTQ faculty, staff, students and alumni, their partners, and their supporters.
